system:troubleshooting

Device not reporting or updating

possible causes: tampering, wiring problem, sim card failure, device failure

Sometimes a device will stop reporting or updating, either intermittently, or permanently. First thing you'll have to do is find out how long ago and then look at the history to see if there is any indication that a fuse has blown or something else.

Power disconnect

When a device reports Power Disconnect, it is because of incoming power (red wire = constant voltage) (black wire = ground) has stopped. Eg. red wire disconnected. Troubleshoot by checking the device and wiring harness using a multi-meter or vehicle diagnostic probe to ensure all wiring is connected correctly and securely.
